Ryan Reynolds Is Coming Back Soon to Disney+ but Not for ‘Deadpool’
Ryan Reynolds has been making headlines recently for a variety of reasons. Most notably, for his dream project with Hugh Jackman in Deadpool 3. However, of late, the Merch with a Mouth actor seems to be involved in a lot of projects simultaneously. The actor’s commitment lies in many ventures. Along with headlining Marvel Studios’ first-ever R-rated movie, he is also the owner of Wrexham AFC and businesses such as Maximum Effort and Aviation Gin.
And there is one more on his kitty of projects. One of his projects is set to bring him to Disney+ very soon and no, it is not Deadpool.

Ryan Reynolds’ hit documentary series chronicles his and Rob McElhenney’s journey as they become the co-owners of Wrexham AFC is set to be back on Disney+. The first season of the series, Welcome to Wrexham, aired on the same platform in August of 2022. It won critical acclaim and fan admiration for its honest, humorous, and heartwarming portrayal of the club and its community.
The second season, which is expected to release soon, will highlight more challenges and triumphs as announced by co-owner Rob McElhenney. The show, which has already gone on to give Reynolds his first-ever Emmy nomination, is expected to make a grander comeback this time around. The season aims to highlight more of both the owners’ connection with the townsfolk as well as members of the club in general.
The show will go on to portray their journey in managing a football club in the National League, tackling obstacles and seizing opportunities. Additionally, the series will include appearances by celebrities and their friends from the entertainment industry. It will also explore the impact they have on the town and its residents as they attract attention and investment to Wrexham.
The 46-year-old’s investment into the club followed by his star power has turned the fortunes of the town of Wrexham, which was once staring at oblivion. The star has brought the Welsh town into the global spotlight, creating job opportunities and increasing tourism.
However, as with everything, this too has come at a price for Ryan Reynolds and ultimately Deadpool 3.
Deadpool 3 stares at an uncertain future amidst SAG-AFTRA strikes

Kevin Feige had announced Deadpool 3 as the studio’s first R-rated project to much fanfare. The collaboration marked what fans had been waiting for decades – Deadpool and Wolverine together. However, as soon as sparks of joy flew all over the fandom, a pale gloom now hangs over them. The movie has officially halted production as a result of the ongoing twin WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. The ongoing strike has already halted many other big-ticket productions along with Deadpool 3.
Writers and actors, both being on strike, make the schedule for the movie’s production uncertain. Pandemic-related challenges had already pushed productions behind. Moreover, Marvel Studios had recently pushed back a majority of their content in order to improve the VFX. Furthermore, Ryan Reynolds’ constant involvement with Wrexham is adding to Marvel’s woes. It is unclear when the movie will continue production and stick to its original release date.
