During last season’s epic comeback into the Football League, the captain of Wrexham, Ben Tozer bumped into Ryan Reynolds’ mother, Tammy. Tozer later made a joke at her expense saying, “She’s not a bad-looking woman at 77.” While that got a “stepdad” joke in response, the defender continued the long-standing joke. In an interview with talkSport, the captain said that he was going to get the co-owner a picture of him “with his mum because of all the history there.”

While the joke was sure to have caught the Deadpool star’s attention, he had not come out in retaliation as of yet. In fact, the jab came as he had just celebrated his 47th birthday on 23 October. Although he has not made his move yet, there is no way that the king of trolling plans on sitting this one out. While fans are waiting for the star to plot his revenge, Rob McElhenney stole the show with his gift to Reynolds.

Rob McElhenney’s gift for Ryan Reynolds’ 47th birthday

Weeks after Ryan Reynolds embodied his Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenney, the It’s Always Sunny in Philadephia star decided it was his turn to pull his friend’s leg. In a birthday video with Chris Pratt, the 46-year-old could be seen coming up with more and more ridiculous ideas for a birthday gift. While nothing really stuck, the idea of creating a park in Wrexham, Wales ended up being the one.

Closer to the end of the video, fans were shown a park that was named Ryan Rodney Reynolds Memorial Park. However, the highlight was the statue of The Adam Project star right in the middle of it. Although the park is gorgeous, McElhenney had to jump through hoops to give Ryan Reynolds such an elaborate gift. The park seems very in character for both the stars as it seems as though their weird gifts are starting to become a tradition.
