While it came as a surprise to most of his fans, it seems to have been his best idea yet for his children, James, Inez, Betty, and a fourth who has not been publicly named. In a recent episode of Welcome to Wrexham, the actor shared that his kids with Blake Lively were absolutely “obsessed with Wrexham.”

The revelation was not much of a surprise, as the actor had taken his kids to Wales for a match. While Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively, have graced many Wrexham matches with their presence, it was the first time that he had taken his kids on a work trip. However, there is no doubt that the Deadpool star was beyond thrilled that his children shared one of his biggest interests.

Indeed, Ryan Reynolds’ love for sport has been passed down like a family heirloom. In fact, it started way before the star even got married.

Where Ryan Reynolds’ love for sports comes from

In the same Welcome to Wrexham episode, the 47-year-old opened up about his love of sports. He said that it played a very big part in his relationship with his father. Ryan Reynolds claimed that their relationship was “almost exclusively tethered and held together” by their “mutual love of sports.” While his father tragically passed away back in 2015, it seems that the one thing that held them together has now been passed down.

Just last year, The Adam Project star opened up about how he excelled at every sport so that he could receive validation from his father. While that may have stuck with him all these years, it looks like the star might have found a better company to share his appreciation for football with. However, with his children being so young, there is a possibility this could just be a passing phase.
