Ryan Reynolds Deadpool 3 is all set to step into the world of MCU alongside Hugh Jackman with the biggest comic book crossover. Rumored to release in the upcoming year, Deadpool 3 has been making the audience restless with the flurry of speculations. News surrounding new additions and character reprises are circulating every day. Shawn Levy is headstrong in his determination to make the third installation of Deadpool a star-studded cinematic experience. And he is putting a lot of emphasis on comic accuracy.

What truly made the fans tap their feet with anticipation was seeing the Wolverine donning his comic-accurate yellow-blue suit. During an interview for his upcoming Netflix series, the 55-year-old director dished on Jackman’s suit in detail.

Jackman has been playing the fan-loved Wolverine for almost two decades and acted in nearly ten movies. However, not once did fans get to see the character in his classic superhero attire, the yellow and blue costume. Finally, addressing fans’ wishes, the upcoming Deadpool movie will feature the clawed mutant in his iconic superhero suit. While talking to Entertainment Weekly, Levy announced that he will make sure the team “get the old yellow and blue just…right.” 

The director further went on to reveal that this could be the last time Jackman will appear on screen as Wolverine, who has been a part of MCU since 2000. Therefore, the makers gave it their all and went through “multiple, multiple, multiple iterations and fittings” to get the design right. While the Marvel nerds proved to be of great assistance to the director, the leaked pictures definitely gave away the surprise. 

The mishap, however, worked in the director’s favor, as it got fans even more pumped up for the project. 

How Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine suit revelation benefited the makers 

A few months back, a couple of pictures from the sets of Deadpool 3  started circulating on the internet. The pictures featured the merc with a mouth and Logan engaged in an intense battle. Speaking about the same at the 2023 Toronto International Film Festival, Levy discussed how the earlier pictures of Wolverine leaked. While the Free Guy actor was seen hanging from ropes, the Prisoners star performed his action choreography on the ground. 

According to the director, it was the Wrexham AFC owners’ decision to film some of the scenes in real locations. The 46-year-old did not want the movie to “feel like a bunch of physical environments filmed on a soundstage”. This led the makers to shoot most part of the upcoming American superhero films in natural settings, causing the photo leaks. Nevertheless, the audience’s reactions to the superheroes’ costumes relieved the director, and he said, “All’s well that ends well.”
