Ryan Reynolds’ reveals “the most incredible script”

Ryan Reynolds’ journey into the athlete’s world was commenced with his acquisition of Wrexham AFC with Rob McElhenney. Ever since, his commitment to the club has been showcased repeatedly. Ryan Reynolds took to his Instagram story to share how “Football writes the most incredible scripts”. In his story, he shared a snippet reel from Welcome to Wrexham’s Instagram handle that followed the Wrexham Championship Parade of May 2nd, 2023. 

The reel projected that 40,000 fans had attended the “unforgettable” parade while only 15,000 were expected. It also announced that Welcome to Wrexham would return with its third season soon to tell the story of Wrexham AFC’s return to the EFL. However, they would not be “alone” in this, as Notts County F.C. had also qualified for the league.

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s assuming acquisition of the club has been life-changing. The release of the Welcome to Wrexham series too has been transformative for the club’s revival and improvement. 

Welcome to Wrexham and its upcoming season

Wrexham AFC’s metamorphosis is highly an ode to the pledges of its co-owners, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. The docuseries Welcome to Wrexham archives the activities of the club in consecutive seasons. Its second installment focused on the club stepping up to the EFL. The series also delved into the historic celebration following the achievement. 

Heralding the second position on the EFL premises currently, Welcome to Wrexham’s third installment supposedly will focus on this. Ever since its release, the show has cashed an estimation of half a million dollars per episode. The show has not only been a personal win but also a mass victory. Given the third chapter is in the works, the release window is vouching for a spring 2024 release.
