Deadpool 3  starring Ryan Reynolds has been prey to repetitive delays due to the ongoing struggle of SAG-AFTRA strikes in Hollywood. With building tension and expectations owing to its tie-ups with the MCU franchise, fans are awaiting the film to get head-on with its shooting.  While the film may not resume its shoot before January 2024, Reynolds and Shawn Levy have taken an oath to keep their fans entertained.

Levy especially seems to be going above and beyond playing the director of the film as he makes sure fans have their eyes on him. At times by going around with the rumored Dazzler, Taylor Swift, while on other occasions, by engaging in star-studded strolls through the bustling city of New York. 

Deadpool 3 director Shawn Levy goes out for a walk with Ryan Reynolds

Shawn Levy and Ryan Reynolds were spotted taking a leisure walk in New York City just this week according to updates on X, formerly Twitter. It seems to appear that the actor-director duo has finally decided on how to stay put amidst the ever-delaying film release, that is, by bonding with each other. In the reported post, the Deadpool actor was sporting a pink sweater look with wayfarers, while Levy served more of a fall look. The latter wore an overcoat paired with jeans and a scarf.

According to reports, Blake Lively, Hugh Jackman, and Taylor Swift also tagged along with the actor-director duo, and this would not be the first time. While Shawn Levy’s stroll with Taylor Swift had been a shocker for most, his stroll with the Deadpool actor was not something unusual.

It is just additional evidence that makes one wonder if Deadpool 3 apart from being a segway for the antihero to be a part of Marvel, could simply be the pretext for Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy to spend more time with each other.

Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy’s friendship has goals to look up to

Witnessing Levy and Reynolds’ often-time walks, it is not hard to decipher the endearing bond that they have grown to share.  Time and again the duo has given shout-outs for each other’s projects, be it for the acquisition of Wrexham AFC or Levy’s release of All the Light You Cannot See. While their creative minds may have a big hand to play in the star-studded bond, it was Hugh Jackman that sealed the deal between the two.

In a former conversation, the filmmaker had also revealed how  Hugh Jackman believed that once he makes a movie with Reynolds, he might not hit the brakes.  As Shawn Levy directed two cinematic projects with the Self/less actor in a span of two years it was proven true.
