The pair recently donated £5,000 to a charity football match led by Wrexham Police FC. The fundraising match will be played on July 1 to raise money for the kids’ ward at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. Reynolds and McElhenney surprised the town by hitting the target of this drive with their contribution. Members of the Wrexham Police FC and FC United of Wrexham have expressed their admiration towards Wrexham co-owners, as reported by Nation CYMRU. Sgt Dave Smith thanked Ryan and Rob for this heartwarming gesture for young kids saying this will certainly bring a positive difference to the lives of children. This money would help the hospital buy new equipment and keep the surroundings healthy.

According to the Leader, Tim Taylor, who currently resides in Florida, is a huge fan of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. The 48-year-old himself is a native of Wrexham and shifted to the US for work. Since the takeover of Wrexham AFC, this fan has closely looked upon the changes they brought to the city and the club.
“What Rob and Ryan have done has been amazing. In the US a lot have people have asked me if I’ve heard about Welcome to Wrexham,” he stated. Taylor feels immense pride in admitting this now that he is a part of the city. And this is happening just because the pair has highlighted this town all over the world.
