With Jimmy Kimmel stepping back from the hosting spotlight, the Deadpool & Wolverine duo has climbed to the top of the Oscars’ wish list, solidifying their reputation as “the two biggest movie stars of the year.”
While the insider revealed that Reynolds and Jackman have not officially given the thumbs up, if they do, the Academy might need to dig deep into its pockets to snag these stars for their “lending their star power.” This comes hot on the heels of Deadpool & Wolverine’s latest Oscar campaign, and rumor has it Reynolds might just turn the Oscars into “a multimedia advertising bonanza,” just like he did with their film.
