“Marvel’s changing it up” – David Harbour Makes New Revelations on ‘Thunderbolts’ and It’s Entry in MCU
That Marvel has been churning out superior superhero movies for the past few decades is indisputable. For a change, however, it was not the superhero factions whose revamp became the talk of the town. Nonetheless, fans are beyond excited as Marvel takes us to phase 5 with exciting new releases such as Thunderbolts, starring David Harbour. The movie has fans raising their eyebrows as it is set to step in the shoes of Avengers. However, Harbour, who will be reprising his role as Red Guardian, has stirred some belief in fans that it is something worth the hype.
To become the super team for Marvel’s new phase is most definitely a big deal. And that they are counting on a team of villains to conclude phase 5 of Marvel is proof enough that Marvel is not going for the tried and tested formula. And David Harbour has further cemented this fact with his new statement.

The Phase 5 movies of Marvel have been understandably different from those that fans had to a certain extent gotten used to. For some this is an indication of a brighter future for Marvel and for others it is a sign that things will never be the same. And the latter might be the correct guess as the driving force of Thunderbolts, David Harbour, revealed “Marvel’s changing it up,” in an interview with ET at CinemaCon.
Given the fact that Marvel is counting on the movie to generate the same hype as that of Avengers: Endgame and Avengers: Infinity War, it is sure to be a larger-than-life project. One that Harbour was not willing to say a lot about.
He did let slip that “this team in particular and what they’re doing and what this means to MCU is its own thing, that’s really interesting,”.

Harbour has definitely not taken any inspiration from Tom Holland as he remained extra tight-lipped about what the project entails. He did stress, however, about the “team” that is working on Thunderbolts and how there is no match for them.

Judging by how the director’s seat has been taken up by Jake Schreier and the writer’s chair by Lee Sung Jin, it is not hard to believe. Lee has been the talk of the town since the release of Beef whereas Schreiner is a household name for projects like Paper Towns. Both creators are bringing a fresh concept to Marvel and fans cannot wait to see how it unfolds.
