“Make the worst Deadpool movie”- Fans Furious as Ryan Reynolds’ Signature Improv Is Pushed Out of Picture Due to Writers’ Strike
Marvel Studios’ long-awaited Deadpool 3 recently kick-started its shooting. However, the return of this beloved character came at the point when the industry is already struggling with writers’ strikes. Fans have long feared that this conflict will somehow affect the project led by Ryan Reynolds. Sadly, their worst nightmare turned out true: the Canadian superstar was denied from using his expertise in the film. Meanwhile, this news has left the internet fuming with fans calling out MCU and creators for ruining this anticipated film.
Comic Book recently revealed on Twitter that Ryan Reynolds is legally prevented from improvising lines in Deadpool 3. This announcement has made things difficult for the Free Guy star who won’t be able to portray the essence of this character. Since the disfigured mutant is all about incessant jokes and dark humor, which the actor adds through his jokes.

Fans are in total disagreement with the decision because they only want to see the best version of Deadpool or nothing. People have flooded the comment section, making their anger evident to the team. Many are saying if MCU continues filming, they would “make the worst Deadpool movie” with the threequel would be the worst movie ever. While others are suggesting that the creators should halt the shooting at this instant and delay it until the strike stops.
At this point, one can only hope that the march comes to an end quickly so everyone can get back to work. The WGA strike began on May 2 after the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers failed to meet the demands of writers. However, this certainly isn’t the first time this franchise is facing hardships because of the strike.

In 2016, the 46-year-old sat down with Entertainment Weekly to talk about the origin of his character. During the conversation, he recalled the time when he appeared in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. He stated that it was quite frustrating because there was no script because of the Hollywood writers’ strike of 2007-2008. However, in order to keep this opportunity, he agreed to do it and wrote the dialogue himself.
“So we were in the middle of production, there were no writers, no anything. Every line I have in the movie I just wrote myself,” he added.

Deadpool 3 will hit the theaters on Nov. 8, 2024, and we will know if the lack of improvisation from Reynolds’ end will affect the quality or not.
