Andre Braugher’s legacy in the television world as well as in the cinematic landscape has been witness to many prime-time milestones. Having starred in many big-impact projects throughout his lifetime, he made his name even bigger with the police comedy series, Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Known for his depiction as Captain Raymond Holt, his presence on the television was never short of comedic interludes. 

Yet in an upsetting turn of events, Braugher had to bid an unprecedented farewell to the world after a brief illness. In honor of his remarkable career in the world of entertainment, here is a compilation of his most exceptional performances to date.

Andre Braugher’s inception of the acting journey dates back to 1989. The early start of his career witnessed the transformation of his developments from the 80s classics to his humorous presence in contemporary drama. While his stern and serious police role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine ending up in poker-faced jests is known to everyone, there was another police portrayal by Braugher that garnered prolonged praise.

His work in a 1993 series, Homicide: Life on the Street, had previously established his groundwork for cop portrayal. Furthermore, Braugher’s representation as a media-adept lawyer in the American thriller-drama, Primal Fear, also was in the limelight of its popularity. But his legal luminary image was not restricted to that. His eagle-eyed portrayal of the same was also featured in the American legal drama series called The Good Fight. Furthermore, his performance in Men of Certain Age became a superhit, earning him many victories.

Andre Braugher’s unfortunate demise has brought the world in shudders. But his works of eminence shall never face an early cessation. Having served the industry with his flawless range of portrayals, Braugher also was a receiver of an unbroken string of awards. Listing here are a few of the many accolades Braugher received for his best performances. He bagged 11 Emmy nominations, four for Brooklyn Nine-Nine alone. 

His work in Homicide: Life on a Street and Men of a Certain Age was a major catalyst for his awards. The 1993 series was acknowledged twice by the Television Critics Association along with Emmys. Additionally, his triumphant career also had the NAMIC Vision Award for Best Performance for the 2009 drama series. While there are many more, there is a resounding sadness that his streak of victory might have come to a close. But given his tireless contribution to the acting premises, there is a surety that it would cause no hindrance in cherishing his exceptional works to date.
