Just One Day Before Emmy Nominations, Netflix’s ‘The Crown’ Lands a Major Nomination at Hollywood Critics Awards
The Crown is going to land one last time with season six, but not without bagging some appreciation. It remains one of the best time period series, giving a peek into the fancy, high-class, and conservative world of British monarchies. America, in particular, is fond of the Netflix series centered around the royals, with the late Queen Elizabeth II at its center.
Ever since its launch, the series remains one of the most discussed dramas, both for its actors and its relatability with the British family. It certainly garnered some criticism and controversy as well, but the actors mostly received admiration for the casting and delivery. Even the 2023 Hollywood Critics Awards nominations have recognized that, letting an entry into a major category.

The Crown is one of the most loved series of today’s time, having enjoyed attention and love ever since its release. This year, it is one of the top competitors in different categories, especially the major ones. Hollywood Critics Awards posted on Twitter their nominations in the Best Supporting Role-Male category. Jonathan Pryce who plays the role of the late Prince Philip, has earned a nomination with tough competitors.
Max Minghella and Bradley Whitford of The Handmaid’s Tail, Jensen Ackles and Chace Crawford of The Boys, Rufus Sewell of The Diplomat, Brent Spiner of Star Trek: Picard, Edi Gathegi of For All Mankind, and Stellan Skarsgård of Andor are some of the nominees for the award. Pryce is credited for playing the role of the late Prince, although there are arguments about how accurate the portrayal of the royal member was.
Fans and members will certainly cheer for the actor to bag this award, but this is certainly not the only category that the show has entered.
