Hollywood’s cinematic sphere is constantly churning out new films. While the superhero genre has its own devoted following, fans of a decent romantic comedy aren’t far behind. When the teenage romantic comedy The Kissing Booth was released in 2018, it added to the genre’s popularity. Alongside a quirky storyline, the audience was intrigued by Jacob Elordi and Joe King’s on-screen romance. However, the Euphoria actor’s statements about the franchise have heightened the audience’s interest in the movie’s behind-the-scenes happenings.

While the actor’s “ridiculous” comment shocked millions of his fans who were die-hard fans of the movie, his co-star Joe King recently expressed what she thought about it.

Even though the actors split up just before filming the third chapter of the romantic comedy, they appeared to be on good terms. So, like the fans, even Joe King was taken aback when Jacob Elordi criticized the film in his GQ Men of the Year cover article, adding, “Those movies are ridiculous.” During the Balenciaga fashion show in Los Angeles, King responded to the “unfortunate” remark via Variety.

The actress went on to say that she had a terrific time making the film. While further discussing the film, King stated that if there were to be a fourth installment, “it would be picking up where Ellie and the gang are in their fifties or something.” Surprisingly, after the criticism, the actor defected promptly, adding, “I’m incredibly grateful to everybody in it.”
