After replacing Henry Cavill as Man of Steel in the forthcoming Superman project, James Gunn has now joined hands with some Marvel actors. The upcoming film Superman: Legacy will mark the beginning of the new DC Universe. While one after the other details are being revealed about the new DC boss’ dream project, this news about having the Marvel actors on the team has pumped the fans up.

David Corenswet as Clark Kent and Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane are already making it hard for the DC fans to wait for the film. Now, the latest extension of the cast is also exciting. Apparently, the 56-year-old director told Vanity Fair he booked three Marvel actors for his Superman: Legacy. Do you remember the film X-Men: First Class? There was a character named Darwin portrayed by Edi Gathegi. Well, Gathegi is now going to be a part of Gunn’s dream project. Moreover, Isabela Merced, who is going to appear in Marvel’s film, Madame Web, has also joined the DCU.

The third actor is none other than Nathan Fillion, who is famous for his role as Master Karja in the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Now, these Marvel stars are going to appear in the DC project with new and powerful identities. So, what will be their roles in Gunn’s next project?

As Gunn has revealed earlier, he has finished writing the script, and the movie is moving forward with production, officially. Edi Gathegi is going to portray Mister Terrific, a.k.a. Michael Holt. His superpower is his uncanny intellect. The catchphrase of an earlier version of the Mister Terrific character is paid homage to on the sleeve of his jacket with the phrase “Fair Play”, while also serving as a statement of his belief. Isabela Merced will be the winged warrior Hawkgirl. And Fillion? The 52-year-old actor is going to play a Green Lantern named Guy Gardner.

His Green Lantern is not the same as Ryan Reynolds’. In fact, he differs from Hal Jordan in many ways.
