Jada Pinkett Calls for a Reconciliation Between Will Smith and Chris Rock After the “holy joke and the holy slap”

The 2022 Oscars ceremony saw Will Smith go up the coveted stage twice. Once to receive the Best Actor Oscar for King Richard and before that to slap presenter, Chris Rock. Later, the Men In Black actor did apologize to Rock, to little or no avail. Now, months later and after dropping fresh bombshells, Jada Pinkett had a belief. A hope that “these two very capable beautiful men at some time figure out how to resolve this whole thing of the present.”
In her appearance at the Jay Shetty podcast, the mother of two called the Oscar incident “the holy joke, the holy slap, and the holy lessons.” The remarks come days after she opened up on being “shocked” at the time. Moreover, The Matrix Reloaded actress made it clear that it was “not cool to like talk about a medical condition.” Alas, she concluded with the hope that the incident would eventually have Smith and Rock “amplify their love” and resolve the bad blood.
The interview also had Pinkett open up on her relationship with her kids, especially Jaden Smith who had once “saved” her life.

In the same podcast, the 52-year-old actress spoke about her kids: Trey, Jaden and Willow Smith. While she said that Trey had the “ability to meet” and form new connections, her daughter was a “fireball”. In the sense that Willow was a much more direct person and would allow the actress to see a reflection of herself in her. Finally, Pinkett spoke of her youngest son as “a walking joy”.
Jaden Smith is a successful entrepreneur inspired by Elon Musk, alongside being an actor and a musician. Among his many acts of love, one was when he told his mother, “You gave birth to me. Don’t ever apologize to me.” The mother-son’s bond was also spoken of highly before when the actress spoke of the time she was battling intense depression. The youngster would go on to “save” her mother by introducing her to ayahuasca therapy.
