“It was a privilege” – Ryan Reynolds Reveals Why He Rubbed This Wrexham AFC Player’s Feet

But it is the off-field camaraderie between players and their team’s managers that tends to be most amusing to their fans. In an interview with Sky Sports posted to Instagram, McElhenney and Reynolds spoke about their star striker’s recent injury. They revealed that when Paul Mullin got injured during the club’s friendly match with Manchester United, he had to stay back in the US to rest and recover. On the eve of August 5th, Wrexham was set to take on MK Dons in their comeback to EFL after over a decade! Alas, even the presence of Wolverine cheering them on from the stands could not help the club as they lost the match. Seeing this, the club’s manager sat down with its owners to request them to bring in a couple more transfers for the season.
The move could prove crucial for the club, which has been struggling with injured players and freshers’ luck. And since the window for transfers closes in less than a month, both Reynolds and McElhenney will have to move fast to secure new players.
