Youtuber Mike Zeroh recently dropped a bombshell update on Deadpool 3 that could have seismic implications. As per Zeroh, Reynolds’ future with Disney might be on shaky ground because of persistent creative differences. These conflicts led to a drastic move by the board and they are allegedly removing Reynolds from four Disney projects, for which he was slated as a co-writer. These projects were from both Phase Six and Seven of the mutant era in MCU.
Zeroh also shared that these conflicts extended beyond creative differences and also involved Robert Iger’s cost containment plan. The association was allegedly reducing the pay for their co-writers and main writers for their MCU timeline. Reynolds who was gearing up to become the co-writer, and to even direct a bunch of movies, did not agree with the plan. While Reynolds remains involved in Deadpool 3, Zeroh claimed this could mark his swan song with Disney.
As Deadpool 3 approaches, here is how it could be different than its previous installments with Disney’s involvement.

The Deadpool franchise has become a fan favorite for its unique R-rated and dark content that deviates from the typical superhero movie formula. MCU, traditionally associated with family-friendly content, will be entering uncharted territory with Deadpool 3 as the universe has never really churned out any R-rated movies. Karan Soni assured fans that there would be no changes in terms of its R-rated content, in a Comic Book interview.
The only change with Deadpool in the MCU could be the lack of scope for improvisation from Ryan Reynolds. With the Hollywood strikes, Reynolds had to stick to the script written before the strike. Kevin Feige is unlikely to mess with a recipe that has already proven to work. However, this lack of creative liberty could be one of the reasons that has cast a shadow over Reynolds’ run in MCU.
