Henry Cavill has been the face of one of DC’s strongest superheroes, Superman. The 40-year-old actor starred in the DCU breakthrough movie, Man Of Steel. Directed by Zack Snyder, the movie received mixed reviews for its serious and grim portrayal of the caped superhero. A decade later, James Gunn and Peter Safran took over as new bosses of DC Studios and decided to be done with Cavill. However, the actor may be looking to transition somewhere DC might not want him to – Marvel Studios.

As recent buzz has gained momentum, Henry Cavill could star in DC and also hop on to the MCU bandwagon to expand its new saga. Moreover, he will not be the only one to do so. Cavill’s DC mate, Ben Affleck, and Marvel’s love child, Ryan Reynolds, have also sailed two ships at once.

Henry Cavill’s snubbing by James Gunn-led DCU came under massive fire from fans. However, the director remained firm in his decision to take on a lighter approach to the character with a new and “younger” actor. Although there still are chances of him coming back to DC. On the other hand, as per Hype Beast, Henry Cavill was seen exiting Marvel Studios’ London office back in 2021. Does this ring any bell?

Marvel Studios is currently looking to kick-start its X-Men Universe. Additionally, Deadpool 3 shall officially introduce mutants to the canon. Given the stature of Cavill, it is likely that Marvel would cast him in a big role possibly for X-Men. In order to fit into his Superman tone, two Marvel characters might suit him. One of them is Sentry while the other is Cyclops. Again, given the fact that Marvel is bringing mutants, it would make sense to introduce Cyclops first.

Precisely here is where fans expect Henry Cavill to star in. The character involves a range of abilities that are closely related to that of Superman. Furthermore, now that Deadpool 3 is delayed, Marvel can use this time to get Cavill into their slate. DC’s now-deprecated Batman, Ben Affleck, once played Daredevil for Marvel back in 2003.

Fan-favorite, Cavill not only dropped playing Superman but also a Netflix charmer. After playing the Geralt of Rivia for three seasons, Henry Cavill exited the show amidst record-low ratings. The Witcher, which shot to fame with the actor’s striking portrayal of the monster-hunting lead, left fans in dismay at the news of his recasting. Such was the effect of the backlash and Netflix’s mismanagement that the last two episodes of just concluded Season 3 were blasted with the distinction of being the lowest-rated in the series. Additionally, the entire Season itself dropped to record low ratings and audience scores.

None of this has impacted Cavill’s determination as he continues to look ahead. Along with a potential Marvel debut, the actor is also working on other projects. An avid gamer, Henry Cavill looks to bring the world of Warhammer 40K to life and turn it into a franchise. Regardless of all critical opinions, Cavill continues to reinvent and start all over again. And for this very reason, he is The Man of Steel.
