Internet’s Favorite Karate Kid Ralph Macchio Graces $6.11 Billion Worth Favorite Team Ahead of NFL Season
Remember back when people saw Jaden Smith bring alive The Karate Kid on screen? This was back in 2010, nearing almost three decades after the first ever Mr. Miyagi and bullied teenager turned martial arts hero film. In the 2010 remake, it was a sort of reprisal film for younger fans. While 1994 also saw a female Karate kid, the original sets of 3 The Karate Kid movies featured the millionaire Ralph Macchio as Daniel La Russo.
Not only did Will Smith want to honor the film’s legacy, but Suffolk County Sports Hall of Fame added the Cobra Kai actor as a special inductee alongside other legends like NFL’s Darrel Young. The Karate Kid star has more in common with Darrel Young and Long Island’s Wall of Fame. Turns out Ralph Macchio is a big fan of the New York-based NFL team New York Jets. One of the oldest teams in the NFL, the $6.11 billion worth team, posted a picture of the actor on the turf. He was smiling alongside the players, posing to the camera.

Following his role in The Karate Kid movies, he starred in a sequel television series, Cobra Kai. The famous human Yoda and his help in guiding adolescence, in Macchio’s words, made the movie the success it is.
Just last month, fans were left teary-eyed when they saw the American actor’s 40-year-old audition tape from the movie. But this thrilling meet-up with the Jets left the Twitterati reminiscing about Daniel LaRusso.
Ralph Macchio had his own fan-boy moment
While the Cobra Kai star satiated his fanboy moment with the Jets, the fans were thrilled to see the two of their favorite heroes come together. One of them pointed out how going to a football retreat would cause Mr. Miyagi immense happiness, making a reference to the way the character of Mr. Miyagi was structured. The netizens in the comments even tagged their friends, saying that he was the REAL karate kid.
Apart from The Karate Kid references, avid Jets and Cobra Kai fans were delighted to see the two together. They loved to witness the 61-year-old’s energy alongside the billion-dollar worth team.
