2024 would see Ryan Reynolds return to a leading role in cinema. However, while fans are excited for him to clash with Hugh Jackman in Deadpool 3, the actor has another flick rolled up in his sleeves. Now, barely a day after previewing a poster, the Canadian actor dropped the teaser trailer for his first 2024 flick – IF. Opening with Reynolds and his imaginary friend, the two-minute clip posed the question – “What if everything you believed as a kid was real?”

Standing for ‘Imaginary Friends’, the movie comes from the creative and directorial brilliance of The Office actor, John Krasinski. The part CGI and part live-action fantasy comedy will revolve around Cailey Fleming’s character, who can see and interact with the imaginary friends of others. Taking inspiration from Steven Spielberg, the family-friendly movie would follow an inspiring tale of hope after trauma. Releasing on May 17, 2024, IF comes a couple of months before the MCU flick.
