The Hollywood celebrity duo, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, had created quite a stir amongst the fans as they hinted at some big news coming ahead. Turns out the most anticipated addition to the team, which was held up in the air till yesterday, is actually happening. Famous for the last-minute penalty save, Wrexham’s legendary goalkeeper Ben Foster, who made possible the big boost, is finally sticking around.
As reported earlier, the team recently declared its squad of 11 who would be released from the team. Thankfully, Foster’s position was still on hold. The Goal declared that there will be some intimate conversations to finalize the savior’s plan for retirement. Thus, the end results are finally here and it could not have been any better. A few hours ago, the outlet released further development in the discussions to confirm the legend is staying back in the team.

However, the newly signed contract would last just for a year, with Ben Foster having his targets set. With his final year setting in just right, Foster has affirmed that he is resolute to bring home another trophy. Having played 25 games and fetched the National League title for the team, he now wants to go even further. “I want to win League Two, as simple as that,” declared Ben Foster.

With his head held high up in the sky, Ben Foster has his feet grounded in the soil. Keeping aside his iron will to go the extra mile for Wrexham, he revealed how attached he is to the team. “Good lads all over the place,” he said, praising his teammates and how he wishes to be a part of it.

He further revealed how Wrexham AFC is not just a football team, but means much to him on a personal note. “I have never joined a football club and felt at ease so quickly,” expressed Foster, reasoning out his decision to sign the extension contract.
