Amidst all the Deadpool uproar, it is clear that Hugh Jackman’s iconic character, Wolverine, is all set to return in Deadpool 3. However, it should be noted that James Mangold, the director of Logan, concluded the character’s arc poignantly. Following the heroic demise of Wolverine in the 2017 film, Deadpool 3 may encounter a version of Wolverine from a different timeline. This would avoid any interference with the definitive ending Mangold provided for the character in Logan.

In the expansive multiverse saga, it appears that James Mangold, the director of Logan, is open to Wolverine’s comeback. However, it should be noted that Mangold had intended to explore another X-Men character within the confines of the Logan Universe.

The highly anticipated Deadpool 3 is poised to embark on a thrilling journey. It is with the inclusion of Logan’s Wolverine alongside Wade Wilson. James Mangold has recently expressed his openness to this reprisal. During an insightful podcast conversation with Josh Horowitz, Mangold revealed his admiration for the talented Dafne Keen’s performance in the film. The Spanish actress played the mutant daughter’s role of Wolverine, X-23 from X-Men: Evolution in 2003.

Mangold disclosed that he had a distinct storyline in mind for X-23. The storyline for X-23, as envisioned by him, would not necessarily have a direct connection to the existing universe. Adding to this, Mangold said, “I started working on a story and but I don’t think of that as a universe.” He commended the remarkable dedication and talent displayed by Dafne Keen, who astounded audiences at the tender age of 11.
