“I don’t think you need to know him”- Ryan Reynolds Shares His Thoughts on Tom Brady’s Latest Sports Venture in ‘Peaky Blinders’ City
The Hollywood buyout of Wrexham AFC turned out to be a game-changer for the Welsh team. And like it or not, the creative promotion of the club landed it the sweet spot that it is enjoying right now. In addition to the love from fans, it is rising steadily on its game front too. The visionary duo of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney serves as one of ‘those’ success stories with famous American movie stars turning things for a quaint Welsh club. Moreover, their stunt in the English country might have inspired their fellow American and NFL legend to dive into the world of owning a football club.

League Two games recently kicked off, and the Welsh players are already eyeing another promotion. The duo got into a conversation with Sky Sports just before the MK Don game about the newest Brady addition to Birmingham City FC. The NFL star bought a minority stake, likely below 51% in the British club. Reynolds candidly revealed how he knew Brady very little. But from whatever he knew, he added, “I don’t think you need to know him to know he has the spirit of a lion and a competitor in every way, shape and form.”
The actors seemed very confident of the NFL owner’s ability to execute whatever plans he had in mind. The commitment and vigor of a sports player gives Brady an added advantage. Extending a cozy welcome, Reynolds said, “Come on in, the water is warm!”
Contrary to his American football knowledge, the player earlier admitted to having a “lot to learn” about British football. But while the Blue team figures out their new transition, Wrexham AFC is already in the works to move forward.

The Red Dragons landed their promotion after 15 long years of wait. And the addition of veteran player Paul Mullin played a huge role, the team has since then enjoyed a dreamy US run too. But soon after returning to their Welsh home base, the team geared up for League Two. These games are a shot at securing their second promotion. And while improved and better facilities ensure the team’s best efforts, Wrexham AFC signed another star-studded Irish player, James McClean.
Reynolds and McElhenney were recently spotted in attendance at the Wrexham AFC Vs MK Don game. And joining just before this match, he was unable to be on the turf. But he will soon make his maiden appearance with Wrexham AFC playing opposite his ex-team Wigan.
