Shawn Levy’s name has entered the ballot for the Outstanding Directing in Miniseries or TV Film category at the 76th Directors Guild of America Awards for helming the massively hit All the Light We Cannot See series on Netflix. Just a little while ago, Hugh Jackman took to his Instagram story to congratulate him for the feat. He also shared a clip of Mark Ruffalo speaking about Levy’s direction in the show he led.
After congratulating the Deadpool 3 director, Jackman let him know that the award was “so well deserved”. The second story showcased Ruffalo proclaiming that a Canadian cinematographer is a “wonderful craftsman” who can “easily and adeptly” glide between genres. It appears that Jackman agreed with his words about the 55-year-old considering his re-share of his social media.
Not too long ago, Levy had also attested to the bond he had created with his Deadpool 3 lead stars.

Just a couple of weeks ago, Shawn Levy made a deeply sentimental gesture of his own on his Instagram account honoring the duo that headlines Deadpool 3. He had shared two poignant photos in the post capturing moments of the director-actors trio embracing with emotions and beaming smiles unmissable on their faces. Through the caption, he revealed that their journey may have “started with friendship” but “ended with brotherhood”.
Apparently, the two images were taken in separate timelines, one before the MCU project’s filming began and one after it had culminated. His words and stunning monochromatic captures resonated not only within the brotherhood but also with the multitudes of fans whom they entertained throughout the flick’s filming process. Their genuine adoration for each other has made the prospect of watching Deadpool 3 all the more alluring for Marvel fanatics.
