The 46-year-old revealed that he used ‘method acting’ to immerse into this 30cm tall yellow creature. Reynolds spent one year being this exceptionally intelligent detective and vanished into it. So when he got the role, the actor was on his way to pick his girls up from school. “Well, I didn’t show up at school because Detective Pikachu doesn’t know who those two little girls are. Who are they?” he said.
After his comment, the camera moved to his wife, who sat with a straight face and said, “They’re our daughters.” The Free Guy star then channeled his humorous side, saying that the character does not have a wife, which means he did not have any children.
