As one of the greatest bodybuilders in history, Arnold Schwarzenegger is known to have inspired millions across the globe. Not only did he win the prestigious Mr. Olympia competition a staggering seven times, but also became a blockbuster pumping machine with several Hollywood hits on his hands. When the Austrian Oak transitioned from body-building to Hollywood, his rise to fame was bound to become all the more legendary. 

Across oceans in Australia, Chris Hemsworth was also left impressed by Schwarzenegger after being exposed to the champion in this way.

To achieve a frame worthy of the God of Thunder, Chris Hemsworth had to clearly put in a lot of work. In an interview with Entrepreneur last week, the Thor actor revealed that it was not just a mix of diet and determination that got him this far. In Australia, his uncle who dabbled in powerlifting had walls plastered with The Terminator actor’s images. Well, Hemsworth found those posters to be “cool” and would feast his eyes on them.

Today, Schwarzenegger continues inspiring many with his Pump Club app that dispenses fitness advice. Meanwhile, the Extraction actor is still following in his footsteps by creating a fitness app of his own called Centr. All this may have impressed his hero only if it was not for the unfortunately awkward meet-up they once had.

Well, Chris Hemsworth once hilariously embarrassed himself in front of the 76-year-old.

When Chris Hemsworth tried imitating Schwarzenegger

Everybody dreams of meeting their hero one day. However, when Chris Hemsworth once met his ‘body goals’ idol in an elevator, their meeting ended rather abruptly. By the end of it, the Avengers: Endgame actor started doing back-to-back impressions of the Kindergarten Cop actor. Thankfully, it was a choreographed moment by Netflix that left viewers in stitches. Before posing for photos together in Brazil at a Tudum event, the duo had filmed the promotional clip for the streamer in July. 

In a seemingly competitive tone, both were trying to put each other down. Despite the blank face from Schwarzenegger, the 40-year-old continued. As hilarious as it was, it must have been surreal for Hemsworth to jokingly poke fun at a man he once literally looked up to. Because talking smack to a poster of the Austrian Oak would be much easier than doing it to his face!
