It is not just fans that do extreme things for their love of movies. Robert Downey Jr. and his Marvel mates actually got permanent tattoos. In a recent interview for Oppenheimer, the actor sat with Christopher Nolan to speak about their latest flick and more with Wired. The first round had them answering some of the internet’s most burning questions. One of the most searched questions was about how many tattoos the actor has.
Downey Jr. revealed that he had six tattoos, with the latest one engraved on his arm. It was The Avengers cast tattoo that was done during the premiere of the Infinity War movie. It was released back in 2018 with several Marvel superheroes together. Scarlett Johansson got the tattoo first, followed by Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr, Jeremy Renner, and Chris Hemsworth. Mark Ruffalo, who played Hulk in the movie, refused to get one done and said, “I don’t want to be part of your Hollywood inside game.”
The Iron Man actor was upset about it but in a funny way. Even with his latest movie, he found a unique way to bond with his co-stars.
The Marvel actor has a special group with Oppenheimer co-stars
Oppenheimer has one strong and star-studded cast list, including Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon, Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, etc. Now Murphy is known for staying away from modern ways of technology, but most cast members have said to form a group called Oppenhomies. The movie may be based on World War II over a destructive invention, but kept its team bonded through modern social media.

Robert Downey Jr. played the role of Lewis Strauss in the movie, who was an activist at the time. Oppenheimer was released on 21 July, making it one of the biggest releases of the year.
