Henry Cavill officially left The Witcher franchise and will have no involvement with the show beyond season three. Ever since Cavill got his dream role in the franchise, he went on record expressing his love for everything related to Witcher. And his departure from the show left the entire fandom in disbelief. However, the remorse has now started to dial down a bit as Cavill is about to roll out a string of exciting movies. 

The 40-year-old star is popular for his versatility as an actor. After making a legendary mark in the action-heavy movies, the British actor is all set to surprise his fans with a romance film.

From swords to love letters, Cavill will be transitioning from a monster hunter to an unlucky-in-love university professor. Directed by Steve Falk, The Rosie Project will be an adaptation of Graeme Simsion’s 2013 novel under the same name. Falk will co-produce the film with Michael Costigan. The Man of Steel actor would be playing an autistic genetics university professor named Don Tillman, who was on his quest to find a wife.

Tillman crafted a questionnaire to find his perfect match and ended up meeting a woman, Rosie, who did not match any of his requirements. However, he ultimately realized that she might just be everything he needed. Many actors in the past have tried to clinch the role, including Ryan Reynolds and Jake Gyllenhaal. However, the part eventually went to the Emmy Award-winning actor. Cavill, who has been busy with playing intense roles lately, could actually find a change of pace in a lighter, more romantic genre with this film.

Apart from The Rosie Project, Cavill also has a bunch of other exciting releases in the store. Each project will be of a different genre, proving Cavill’s range as an actor.

Upcoming movies of the jack-of-all-trades

Over the years, Cavill has made his name synonymous with versatility, owing to his exceptional performances in a wide variety of roles. The list of his upcoming movies will further add weight to his talent. Cavill will be starring in the 2024 movie Argylle, alongside the ‘Levitating’ singer, Dua Lipa. The movie will be a spy-thriller, a genre where Cavill is already a pro. The Enola Holmes actor will also be returning to his fantasy roots with an action-adventure film.

He will be starring in the remake of Russell Mulcahy‘s 1986 film, Highlander, which is still in its pre-production stage. After hanging up the Superman cape, fans will see the actor in the heavy armor with Amazon’s Warhammer 40000. Apart from that, Cavill, being a gaming nerd, will also be playing a role in the popular Squadron 42.
