Stephen Colbert brought comedian Ricky Velez, on The Late Show for a chat. However, after exchanging formalities, Velez took over the show and announced his own guest, Pete Davidson. Although the two had things to talk about, The Listener star soon got bored of hosting and asked the actual host if he could go back to being a guest. That is when Colbert let his comedian side take over and told Davidson to “get out.”
From complaining about Davidson not coming on the show to telling him to leave, the host seemed to have gone through many emotions on screen. But after Velez’s admittance of not knowing how to host, Stephen Colbert told the star that he would show him how it was really done. It was quite a scene to see the iconic host school the comedian who seems to have a jugular grip on the entire generation.
While the failed takeover was hilarious, Pete Davidson’s first time on Colbert’s show ended up in him being asked to get out. However, it was not the first time the talk show host had made a joke at the expense of the comedian.

Back in 2022, when Kanye West was at the peak of his impulsiveness, the host of The Late Show seemed to be tired of the rapper being in the spotlight. This was around the time the rapper was facing the consequences of major brands such as Adidas and GAP dropping him. That is when Stephen Colbert decided it was time to poke the bear. The host joked on his show, “Even worse for West, Adidas is now teaming up with Pete Davidson.”
The comment came during the height of Kanye West’s online feud with Davidson, who was dating Kim Kardashian at the time. The two had kept butting heads for quite a time before things settled down. However, recently, the comedian decided that it was his turn to take aim at the rapper, and once again left his fans losing their minds.
