Fans Heave a Sigh of Relief For Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool’s Creator Releases Concept Art From Wolverine
Deadpool gained a lot of popularity when it got its own standalone movie starting from Deadpool and now soon to arrive, Deadpool 3. Ryan Reynolds and his Merc with a Mouth character made a massive hit on the screen. And the upcoming installment, Deadpool 3, will have Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine making his debut entry into the MCU alongside Reynolds’ Wade Wilson. In a wave of nostalgia, the creator of Deadpool dialed back to when his weaved creation first appeared in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
The co-creator of Deadpool comics, Robert Liefeld, took to Twitter and posted the concept art for Deadpool from back when the anti-hero made his debut on screen. The art looked scarier than the mutant that we have become used to now. Along with an enhanced change in the skin, the hero did not have the talkative feature in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

The Free Guy actor portrayed a much more gruesome-looking mercenary, with the skin beneath the suit deformed. The standalone movies possessed a much milder counterpart.
X-Men movies did not feature the iconic red suit or the humor of the character. While the focus was mostly on Wolverine, the X-Men movies seemed to deviate from the comic-accurate costumes. After the Deadpool franchise did justice with the red suit and the comedy-laced movie, Deadpool 3 is all set to honor the yellow-suited Logan.
While the throwback post horrified the fans, it reminded them of how grateful they were to them for not carrying forward the Cenobite-looking character.
Ryan Reynolds and his Deadpool: now and then
To imagine the Merc with a Mouth without an actual mouth as depicted in the comics was beyond fans. And for that, Ryan Reynolds is still hailed. While the debate about how comic books get adapted into live-action movies doesn’t offer a complete reenactment, the fans complained about the unnecessary renditions that Deadpool went through.
Some wondered how the makers ended up going with the idea, while others compared it to be scarier than Hellraiser’s Cenobites.

The standalone movies definitely ended up doing justice to the essence of the hero. Not only did the Red Notice actor bring on his acting and humor, but also turned around the entire trajectory that the mutant mercenary was heading.
