Will Smith is one of the most iconic actors in Hollywood. But long before this fame that acting brought him, he had a dream of becoming a musician. Many people compared him with the 15-time Grammy winner Eminem and highest-certified singles holder Ludacris. While others said that the ‘What’s Your Fantasy’ singer wrote those lyrics.
For the unversed, this song was written by the Bad Boys star as the second single from his fourth studio album ‘Lost and Found’. Moreover, fans did guess it right because Ludacris did contribute as a co-lyricist. Meanwhile, many might not know that during his short-lived career in the music industry, he was badly criticized for a very unlikely reason.

Writing in his self-titled memoir, Will, the American superstar opened up about his early teen years when he used to write raps. In Chapter 4 of his book, he recalled the time when his grandmother Gigi found his first rap notebook. He revealed that his raps included verses of curse words that most of his hip-hop idols used. At that time, his grandma did not confront him, but left a note that he should use his talent to uplift others.
So the Aladdin star decided the same night he would never swear words or “slangy vulgarities” in his music. “And I got criticized and smashed for years for that choice. But there was no peer pressure that even came close to overriding Gigi pressure,” he added. As of now, it doesn’t matter if he did good or bad in the hip-hop world, Will Smith is happy that his kids, Jaden and Willow, are receiving praise for the same thing. The actor recently shared a video from one of their Coachella concert where they attracted a huge crowd.
