On November 9th, the end of the SAG-AFTRA apocalypse was witnessed by the world. And with the end of the strikes came the rush hour of expectations for the revival of ongoing projects. Topping the charts of those speculations and anticipation was the filming of Deadpool 3. While that commenced ahead, Ryan Reynolds was seen pulling his socks for the filming of yet another movie.

Only recently, Ryan Reynolds was spotted on the sets of IF with costar Cailey Fleming. The upcoming fantasy flick is named Imaginary Friends. Surrounded by the film crew, the actor was seen donning a white polka-dot shirt layered with a black jacket. Earlier, last November, the Deadpool actor was seen filming for this project in Brooklyn. However, due to the SAG-AFTRA affair, the shooting was on a hiatus.

IF is wholly written and under directorial by John Krasinski, and is slated for release on May 17th, 2024. The movie focuses on a youngster who begins to visualize everyone’s imaginary friends. As a child, everyone had their imaginary friends. However, in the course of adulting, one often lets go of such relationships. The movie is a collaboration between live-action and CGI animation. Apart from Reynolds and Fleming, the cast includes Steve Caroll, Emily Blunt, and Matt Damon.

When it comes to the Deadpool actor, this is not the first time that he explored the likes of the fantasy world. And all the said times he has starred in fantasy-comedy movies, the deliverables were on top of the charts like that of Free Guy. Hence, as soon as the actor was spotted getting into the skin of the character, fans could not contain their excitement.

Fans get ecstatic after witnessing Ryan Reynolds resume the shoot for IF

Ryan Reynolds and his talent go a level beyond the ordinary. And so does his stardom. While the anticipation for Deadpool 3 was already keeping fans on their toes, his resuming the shoot for IF has left them overjoyed. Given Deadpool 3 was the priority following the strike end, his shooting for IF came as a shocker, for good reasons. For the fans, it is a week of jubilation as not only the 47-year-old is getting back with the action but he is also coming back with a family-oriented drama to keep it balanced.

Fans took their time to share their excitement on X, formerly Twitter, while others also applauded his prompt return to the sets. Some fans also felt that Ryan Reynolds was giving off the Ben Affleck vibe. Hence, he had them confused.

While the radars of anticipation keep touching the roof, the fan’s speculations do not touch the ground. The return of Hollywood and Ryan Reynolds stands synonymous as of now. And for what is worth, fans are also expecting to witness the Deadpool star in more upcoming projects. While one can hold their breath for that, it remains needless to say that 2024 is going to be the year for Reynolds.
