Except One, Entire ‘Stranger Things’ Star Cast Including Millie Bobby Brown Snubbed for Emmys
Stranger Things has been one of the most outstanding shows of 2022. The apt casting and unique storyline of the show are the perfect recipe to win awards. However, this year, it seems like even the show’s strongest contenders, including its lead lady, Millie Bobby Brown, will be excluded from the Primetime Emmy Awards. Surprisingly, a cast member, who was not even a major part of season 4, has surpassed this list.
The reason behind the elimination of such a large and talented star cast is the division of the show’s fourth season into two volumes. Netflix dropped the first volume of season four on May 27 last year, which was considered for the Emmys 2022. However, the makers dropped the last two episodes in volume two on July 1, which, according to the new rules of the Emmy committee, will be considered “orphan” episodes. This makes Dacre Montgomery the only star eligible for the 2023 Emmys.

The main reason behind Montgomery’s eligibility is that he appeared in the fourth season as a guest star. Montgomery portrays Billy, Max’s stepbrother who died in Season 3 when the Mind Flayer killed him. However, in The Piggyback finale, Billy makes an appearance when Vecna hypnotizes Max, causing her to see her deceased brother blaming her for his demise. Hence, as per Variety, he will be eligible for the nomination under a guest actor in a drama series.
The main cast’s elimination is not the only thing the show is missing at the Emmys this year.
Not just Millie Bobby Brown but also her show gets a snub
As a result of not meeting the minimum episode requirement of six, the show cannot be submitted for the drama series category. The fifth season, which will also be the season finale of the show, is far away from its release date.

Hence, Brown, who won millions of hearts with her exceptional portrayal of Eleven will have to wait a few more years to win an Emmy. Sadly, she and Sadie Sink did not receive an Emmy nomination last year too.

While volume one won five awards at last year’s Emmys, the last two episodes are immediately disqualified from participating. It looks like fans will have to wait till the release of season 5 to see their favorites win.
