The filmmaking pair of Ryan Reynolds and Shawn Levy is definitely not reaching its final destination with Deadpool 3’s release, and here is why. The dynamic duo is looking out for Paramount Pictures’ upcoming comedy feature film called Boy Band, which was announced in February 2023. Not only Reynolds is buckling to star in the flick but also to produce it with Maximum Effort’s partnership under Levy’s directorial with 21 Laps.

Previously, the rumor mills cued but did not confirm Levy’s helming of the director’s chair until Paramount Pictures finally made the revelation. Turning the pages back to the movie’s updates, the story is allegedly courtesy of Reynolds’ creation, while the script has been co-written by him and Jesse Andrews. Although the plot remains under wraps, the involvement of Reynolds, Levy, and Andrews as a trio confirms that something worthwhile is brewing behind the curtains of Paramount Pictures’ next Reynolds project.

Back in 2021, Ryan Reynolds’ co-owned Maximum Effort secured the first-look developmental deal with Paramount Pictures for all feature films at all budget levels for 3 years. Now again, the partnership has been re-upped as Paramount Pictures announced another 3-year deal with Maximum Effort till December 2026. Maximum Effort has previously campaigned for both the Deadpool movies from 2016 to 2018, respectively.

John Krasinski’s upcoming film, IF, is also a Paramount Pictures movie which Reynolds stars and produces in. The movie is looking out for a summer release on May 17th. While this renewed contract did clear the steering ship of witnessing Levy in yet another tag with Reynolds, there is hope that the partnership will further walk beyond a fourth reunion to offer a fifth and a fifteenth.
