What pulls the audience to a movie often has more to do with the cast than anyone else. Perhaps that is why they get paid big amounts for every role. According to Puck.News, the National Research Group conducted research on the top stars that bring audiences to watch new movies. It consists of a mix of Hollywood actors and actresses. What is surprising is that it also has Will Smith’s name on it.
Despite the Oscar controversy being discussed, and fans being against him, the polls prove the opposite. He stands at number 7 on the top list of actors that attract most moviegoers. Tom Cruise remains on the top list, followed by Dwayne ‘Rock’ Johnson, although the latter’s Black Adam failed to impress. Will Smith stands just below Julia Roberts and above Leonardo DiCaprio.
After all, he holds a record for giving out seven consecutive movies that made a box office profit of more than $100 million, through a wide variety of roles. The list also shows how classic actors still remain in demand, when compared to the old ones.
Meanwhile, his popularity rising again means that some of his previously paused projects are now back on track.
