‘Deadpool 3’ Trailer: Ryan Reynolds Debuts a Brand New Look as “Marvel Jesus” at the Super Bowl

On the grand stage of Super Bowl Sunday, Marvel Studios treated fans to the first glimpse of the much-anticipated Deadpool 3, featuring the reunion of Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman as their iconic superhero alter egos. Reynolds, in his signature wit, welcomed viewers to the “mercury in retrograde of Marvel Phases” on Instagram alongside the trailer. Jackman made a comeback as Wolverine in this Deadpool 3 trailer, officially titled Deadpool & Wolverine, signaling the R-rated Merc with a Mouth’s entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The trailer unfolded with the TVA, introduced in Loki, on a quest to locate Reynolds’ Wade Wilson. Amidst this multiversal chase, Matthew Macfadyen’s unnamed TVA character beckons to Wade. He presented him with the opportunity to become a hero among heroes. In a cheeky and bold response, Wade, claims to be the “Marvel Jesus”. Lastly, signaling a monumental shift in the cinematic universe. This cinematic spectacle marks Jackman’s ninth appearance as Wolverine.

The latest Deadpool 3 trailer teases Wolverine’s appearance with glimpses of his back, a shadow, and a quick flash of the iconic yellow suit. Injecting its signature meta-humor, the trailer features a witty remark about “pegging”. While plot details remain scarce, the action-packed scenes assure fans of Deadpool’s R-rated essence, complete with stabbings, shootings, and splashes of blood, promising a true Deadpool experience.

Others included the animated comedy IF featuring Ryan Reynolds and Steve Carell, and the reggae biopic Bob Marley: One Love. More so, leaving room for unexpected releases and last-minute surprises.
