‘Deadpool 3’ Is Very Likely to Feature a Major ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ Character Alongside Ryan Reynolds MCU Debut
“I am Iron Man.” One single-line improvised by Robert Downey Jr. forever changed the course of entertainment history as we know it. Persistent efforts by Kevin Feige and the brains alongside him birthed the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which has so far amassed a staggering $29.55 billion. In the nearly fifteen years of its existence, such a haul not only defiled popular franchises but also riled up several Hollywood greats, such as Martin Scorsese. Now, looking to oil the machine for another epic run is Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman’s Deadpool 3.
The superhero extravaganza has a lot of ground to cover and doors to open as it brings forth an ambitious crossover of nearly all the Marvel projects ever made. To add more spice, an interesting development has now taken place.

The upcoming Shawn Levy directorial stands poised as one of Marvel’s most ambitious projects in recent times. Already boasting a star-studded cast alongside the fan-favorite duo of Deadpool and Wolverine, the flick may add one more star to it. Wanda Maximoff, played by Elizabeth Olsen, floats in rumors to appear alongside a version of Magneto. Additionally, it is also to establish the comic-accurate relationship of father-daughter between the two.
Olsen’s character was last seen in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The 2022 flick had left her fate hanging in the balance in its closing act. Her appearance in Deadpool 3 will set the stage wide open for a thorough introduction to the X-Men while also preserving MCU continuity. Meanwhile, the movie has stalled midway through its filming owing to the SAG-AFTRA strikes. Nevertheless, Levy is hell-bent on making it a spectacle to witness.
The rumors come close on the heels of reports of massive distress in Marvel’s machinery. As such, the upcoming crossover may give the studio one final shot at redemption.
Ryan Reynolds flick may serve as a turning point for the MCU
Avengers: Endgame not only concluded the studio’s Infinity Saga storyline but also its streak of billion-dollar earning movies. From landing its first-ever ‘Rotten’ movie with Eternals to nose-diving on fan expectations with the last Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, setbacks came in ringing. The alarming trend did not bode well for the MCU preparing Jonathan Majors’ Kang as the upcoming big bad. Coupled with the actor’s ongoing legal case, trouble ran amok.

Reports came in of Marvel Studios considering bringing back the original Avengers cast while also swapping Kang for Dr. Doom. The massive transition could be well accommodated within the Ryan Reynolds-led Deadpool 3. While still unwarranted at this point, it remains to be seen if such a shift goes ahead with the flick.
