‘Deadpool 3’ Has a Major Update as Fans Get the First Look at Ryan Reynolds in His Iconic Costume
It has been seven years since Wade Wilson, in the pursuit of Francis, became Deadpool and ultimately created his iconic costume. While Captain America’s shield is important and so is Spiderman’s Iron Man-designed costume, there is an authenticity to how Wade Wilson started with a white hoodie and perfected his costume along with his technique as he became the merc with a mouth. The black and red battle suit has become a millionaire over two installments and with Deadpool 3, he is completing a full circle as he steps into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
A lot has changed since the last movie came out in 2018. Reynolds has convinced not only Marvel but also Wolverine to finally shake claws with him. However, notable actors are not all that the franchise has gained. Deadpool 2 had a budget of around $110 million, and Deadpool 3, being a Marvel production, is bound to surpass it. And while we are yet to attain the numbers, the investment was clearly visible as photos of Ryan Reynolds in his Deadpool costume surfaced on the Internet.

The photos capture Ryan Reynolds on the Deadpool 3 sets as he prepares to get into action. The suit differs from the previous ones by a huge margin. For starters, it shines in bright colors as opposed to the earlier maroon-ish shade of the costume. This was a change also noticed in The Flash as Sasha Calle stepped in as Supergirl.
In the photos, Reynolds does not have his burn victim makeup on and neither is he wearing the mask. This is also making us wonder if the costume is not the only thing that enjoyed the budget upgrade.
Perhaps Reynolds wanted to look on fleek for his Marvel entry and put in some cash to repair his wounds. But the costume still steals the show. Given how they have been waiting for almost half a decade, fans have quite a lot to say about this new look of Deadpool.
Fans decide if Ryan Reynolds in his Deadpool 3 costume is a hit or a miss
You do not need to take a second look to see that a lot of changes have been made to the costume. The dark red has been switched to a brighter red color. Furthermore, there is a lack of kneecaps in the new costume. This is an appreciated change and a testament to the creators’ attention to detail. It never made sense for Deadpool to have a kneecap, given how he has the ability to grow limbs back.
Kneecaps were not the only thing missing from the costume as fans noticed a general lack of gun and blade holders. While this may cost him a lot during fights, it definitely makes the costume look refined.

Fans have mostly been appreciating the switch of color in the Deadpool 3 costume sported by Ryan Reynolds. However, they stuck to the tradition of fretting about the franchise losing its magic upon its Marvel entry.
However, Ryan Reynolds is unanimously agreed as the magic of the superhero franchise and so we are hoping that is not the case.
