Making his MCU debut in Deadpool 3 is the ultimate sidekick that every superhero needs, a furry pet. For the Merc with a Mouth, Dogpool is going to fill in this role and simultaneously elevate the franchise’s comedic thrifts to a new level. Ever since Dogpool’s introduction to the latest installment of Deadpool has been announced, the little one has blown up on social media entertaining fans from across the screen. 

She just revealed some crucial tidbits about the film’s progress, all the while cracking everybody up with a hilarious anecdote about a bothersome co-star.

Dogpool drops Deadpool 3 news

In a post shared by Dogpool’s Instagram account, the loose-tongued dog revealed that she has wrapped up work on her “first movie” signaling her filming process’ culmination. Deeming both “Shawn Levy and Hugh Jackman” as “professional” co-workers, she singled out “one person who was a little extra to deal with”. Who could that be except Ryan Reynolds, of course! However, she had “forgiven him” for this. 

Although, before forgiving Reynolds, who had earlier stated that Dogpool was only good for Disney’s “merch department“, the pup dropped off “a very special warm, personal gift” in his trailer. It appears that the little one may or may not have emptied her bowels in the 47-year-old’s space clad in her custom Dogpool costume. One thing is clear, Deadpool’s feisty sidekick has a taste for vengeance and humor, much like his own. 

The side-kick’s twisted sense of humor also originated from a trauma-filled backstory like Deadpool. 

Ryan Reynolds’ character’s connection to Dogpool

While not much is known about the role Dogpool will play in Deadpool 3, the Deadpool Kills Deadpool comic strips where it was conceived have quite the tale to tell. Dogpool’s tumultuous origin stems from the previous owner, Mascara X’s cruel experiments, who subjected him to cosmetic testing. That probably explains his forever-hanging tongue. However, these trials also granted him a remarkable self-healing ability similar to Deadpool’s. 

After being discarded in a dumpster, he defied fate and went on to work in a circus. Eventually, he joined the Deadpool Corps at the behest of Deadpool, where he became a crucial member. If Dogpool’s past is showcased in Deadpool 3, it would make for quite a harrowing story. Ultimately, he was killed off in Deadpool Kills Deadpool. So, fans might just see Deadpool turn John Wick if the pup meets the same end in it!
