The DCEU franchise has been trying to buckle up their seatbelts to take their fanbase on a journey of Creature Commandos’ upcoming adult animation series. Amidst SAG AFTRA strikes apocalypse, the anticipated casting of prominent celebrities becomes a savior for the heyday. Just a short while ago, the news about Anya Chalotra potentially taking on the role of the legendary, mythological sorceress Circe in James Gunn’s Creature Commandos grabbed the spotlight.

Subsequently, the anticipation surrounding the series saw significant amplification, fueled by the expectation that Circe’s portrayal is being entrusted to an already expert sorceress. And James Gunn seized this opportunity to debunk any delay rumors for the series.

James Gunn confirms Creature Commandos’ arrival

Being the first of Gunn’s reinvented DC projects, Creature Commandos is supposed to focus on the assembly of the beastly army of Amanda Waller. The series comprises seven episodes, all penned by Gunn himself. Moreover, the director, affirmed that the series is scheduled for a 2024 release. He wrote, Yes, Creature Commandos is all set to come out in 2024,” on his X, formerly known as Twitter, handle.

The filmmaker also made revelations regarding its pushback whispers. He confirmed that the holdup conjectures were probably “well-intentioned mistake or misspeaking”. Gunn’s introduction to the revered DC Comics animated world is anticipated to evoke a sense of nostalgia with the return of Frankenstein and the Bride of Frankenstein among others.
