It is no secret that Wrexham AFC, co-owned by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, has won over the hearts of the Welsh community through victory after victory in the league’s current season. Meanwhile, the Deadpool actor and his partner-in-crime from Hollywood have cheered on his team’s hard-working players from the stands, arm-in-arm with the club’s supporters. Well, one fan who adores the 47-year-old just as much as his soccer team recently caught his attention.

In a bid to mirror Reynolds’ looks, this young fan did some that the Wrexham co-owner found simply adorable.

Earlier today, X (previously Twitter) user, Iain Dodd shared an image of his son who was “over the moon” about having received a Wrexham AFC cap as his Christmas present from his father. The father explained how his son had requested the cap, especially since “his hero”, Reynolds, wore it all the time. Upon seeing this touching post, Reynolds chimed in with some encouraging words for the youngin by telling him that he looked “damn good”.

What better way to spread the holiday cheer than making the day of a child that adores you? One can only imagine Dodd’s son’s happiness upon seeing the Free Guy actor’s comment. In the post, Dodd even expressed his wish to get some Wrexham AFC “stickers” for his son’s wheelchair next. Since Reynolds personally reached out to him, it seems likely that this wish might be fulfilled soon too.

After all, the 47-year-old has handed out memorabilia to special fans in the past too.

Earlier this year, a photographer in charge of documenting some behind-the-scenes at the Racecourse grounds, Cody Froggatt, revealed a heart-melting moment he witnessed between Reynolds and another young fan. Apparently, The Adam Project actor ran into a “terminally ill” supporter who was just as much a fan of Wrexham as he was of Reynolds’ Deadpool character. So, the actor decided to hand over one of his original gloves from the Marvel movie to the fan.

According to Froggatt, the 47-year-old often engaged in such acts of kindness without giving them much thought. Well, this just goes to show the kindness and humility he conducts himself with. Evidently, even as a man with a certainly busy schedule, he takes out time for such endearing gestures that make him all the more loved by his fans.
