The Deadpool star got a tremendous shout-out from the BC Premier David Eby as he received the Order of BC in a private ceremony. Eby posted ceremony pictures on his Instagram account, expressing his respect and love for the actor. In the presence of BC Lieutenant Governor Janet Austin, Reynolds accepted the honor which made Eby feel extremely proud of him. He said Reynolds exemplified the best of British Colombia with “his big heart, his love of family, and his roots.”

The premier commended the actor’s remarkable abilities in making a positive impact on a global scale. The one who never shields away from expressing his immense love for his motherland also expressed his ecstatic happiness on his X (Former Twitter). “This is a gigantic honour and dream come true. 🇨🇦 Thank you,” wrote the star.

Dr. Penny Ballem, Evanna Brennan and Susan Giles (nurses), and Chief Harold Leighton, are a few names of the Order of BC recipients.

Dr. Penny Ballem for the commendable service in the COVID-19 vaccination programs, the nurses for their service in the Downtown Eastside for decades, and the Chief will receive the honor for his service in the Metlakatla First Nation for more than 35 years. This has made people wonder why Reynolds has received the honor.
