Britons Outraged to Monarchy’s Invitaion for Swearing Allegiance to King Charles

King Charles and his coronation have stirred up the entire United Kingdom. However, he has to clear some hurdles on his way. With Prince Harry bashing the royal family with high-profile legal cases, Britain’s public too, has somewhat started detesting the Monarchy. The chants of “Not My King” and egg attacks at the monarchs at royal walkabouts are nothing new. Meanwhile, the Nottingham public has also made quite clear its aversion to the ‘outdated’ firm. However, it now seems like King Charles dug his own grave with a new initiative for his coronation ceremony.

A new first-of-its-kind royal initiative came up in the news publications a couple of days ago. As we approached May 6, the soon-to-be monarch had launched a “Homage to People” demarche to win his subjects. Nonetheless, it has totally backfired. From high-profile media personalities to the common public, there is outrage at the Kingdom for King Charles’ call for allegiance. The king officially asked its people to cry in unison, “Your Majesty,on the day of the Coronation. 

Breaking the royal tradition, King Charles once again introduced a new first as he kick-started his reign. For the unversed, the loud cry-in-unison custom was only limited to the aristocracy at the service. This is the first time in the history of the great Imperial family that the public has also been asked to do the same. After having his way with the coronation route and gold and silver-clad couches, the soon-to-be monarch has ultimately encountered the public’s rage.

Britain’s Subject Denies Swearing Support to King Charles 

Twitterati stormed the platform with indifference to the invitation. While the majority simply denied it, others grabbed the golden chance of mocking the monarchy with his alleged “1500AD” terms. One user even brought into the financial crisis England is grappling with.

Others bashed the crown with similar satirical remarks, saying they dated back to the time royals were appointed by gods. However, a chunk of users have agreed to pledge their support to the King. As Lambeth Palace stated, it will be an invitation for those attending the coronation to put their goodwill in the crown.
