Meghan Markle, ever since she joined the Royal family, has faced a lack of supporters from the tv sector. Be it Piers Morgan, who has dedicated himself to criticizing Markle’s every move, or Jeremy Clarkson, who does not recognize a shred of immortality in publishing a column exploiting the Duchess of Sussex, there has been a dearth of support. However, the first black female tv reporter, Barbara Blake-Hannah, in an enlightening interview has spoken in support of Meghan Markle.

A lot of the hate that followed Meghan Markle is often associated with her skin color. The debate was at its highest when Markle revealed the Royal family’s concerns about Prince Archie’s skin. And Barbara Blake Hannah, who stood as the first female TV reporter whose skin color was far from white in her mid-20s has expressed her disdain towards the treatment that Markle had to endure at the hands of the royal family.

The reporter,80, has spent a lifetime trying to bring about a change. While her becoming the first black Jamaican female to report on Britain TV is the only history-defining move that will go down in the books, her life has quite a few more such moves. Hannah sat down with ITV News and talked about all things the Royal family. “So many things were being said,” the former reporter recalled and reasoned why the couple felt the need to put forth their own story.

Not only did she defend the controversial docuseries and memoir, but she also said that their charitable work was admirable. Hannah also called the Royal family out for being concerned about Prince Archie’s skin.

Prime Minister Andrew Holness will not attend the coronation

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s debate led to the discussion of racism within the Royal family and how the monarchy has supposedly allowed inequality based on regions and races to exist. Following this, Jamaica will not be sending its representative, Andrew Holness, to attend King Charles’ coronation.
