Being the home of the royals, strict rules are imposed on visitors. However, Lively did something that most visitors would never even dare attempt. She deftly crossed over a barrier towards an exhibit in order to ‘fix’ her Met Gala dress!

The dress in question wasn’t any ordinary dress. It happened to be a stunning Versace gown whose color changes on the fly from copper to blue-green. The actress wore this dress at the 2022 Met Gala, an event that revolved around the theme, ‘In America: A Lexicon of Fashion’. Adorned with a bow, intricate beaded details, and a gracefully flowing drape, it truly captivated everyone’s attention. Currently, it is on display at the Kensington Palace in the UK.

During her visit there, she explored the Crown to Couture exhibit. This visit was part of her time off with her husband, Ryan Reynolds. The exhibit proudly presents over 200 items worn by celebrities and royals, including Beyoncé, Billy Porter, Kendall Jenner, and of course Blake Lively herself.

However, when Blake Lively saw how her dress was presented in the exhibit space, she felt it needed some adjustments to truly showcase its perfection. Taking matters into her hands and disregarding the rope separating visitors from exhibits, she carefully fluffed up the body of her dress to ensure it looked just as impeccable as it did on that memorable night at the Met Gala.

She shared her act on her Instagram story, playfully referring to herself as “the clown who hops over the rope at the museum to fix the exhibit.”
