The novel was a rockstar that stayed cool on The New York Times bestseller list for a jaw-dropping 90 weeks. In 2019, the book caught the eye of director and actor Baldoni, who decided to be not just behind the camera but also as the leading man, Ryle.

In January 2023 Colleen Hoover revealed Blake Lively as the dreamy leading lady, aka her “dream Lily.” As the movie magic started rolling, there are some sneak peeks- some off-screen sparks between Lively and Baldoni.

The on-set chemistry between Lively, portraying the spirited florist Lily Bloom, and Baldoni, donned in a quirky onesie as the lovable neurosurgeon Ryle Kincaid, added sparks to the New Jersey set. The cozy attire was not just a fashion statement; it teased a scene from the book, where Ryle sports the silly onesie for some free beer shenanigans during a Boston Bruins game.

It Ends With Us promises a rollercoaster of emotions as Lily and Ryle navigate the labyrinth of love, encountering unexpected twists like the return of Lily’s childhood crush, Atlas Corrigan. The filming journey, which began last year, experienced a Hollywood strike hiatus. However, it resumed in January 2024 with a star-studded cast featuring Jenny Slate and Hasan Minhaj. The film’s canvas also includes emerging talents Isabela Ferrer and Alex Neustaedter, portraying the younger versions of Lily and Atlas, making it a tale of love and nostalgia.

In a surprising turn of events, Sony Pictures dropped the bombshell, revealing a release date of February 9, 2024, for the much-anticipated film. The announcement left everyone wide-eyed since the production had hit a roadblock with the WGA strike.

Despite the hurdles, the movie’s journey, much like a rollercoaster, continued from the last seen filming on June 9 to the unexpected hiatus and the film’s resurrection in January 2024, coinciding with the end of the strike and the arrival of Lively’s fourth bundle of joy with husband Ryan Reynolds. The tale of It Ends With Us now will unfold on June 21.
