The Hollywood duo famed for on-spot comic delivery and masterful wit has now taken to tend to global causes. After turning the once-nearing-oblivion town of Wrexham and its soccer club, the Wrexham AFC, into a globally recognized powerhouse, they attended a call that has now left the Internet in awe of their goodwill.

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, together, have always stretched their goals beyond the fields of Wrexham. Giving an exemplary note of the same, 73-year-old Frank Rothwell broke down in tears, in his post, as he thanked the duo for their donation that helped him become the oldest person to row over 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean solo to raise money for Alzheimer’s Research UK.
The Reynolds-McElhenney duo had donated $2,000 to the brave navigator of the seas with the Deadpool star, also motivating him on his social media post with “Go get ’em, Frank”. Now, in reply to Rothwell’s post, Reynolds commended him for his “accomplishment” while stating “I want to be you when I grow up.” Additionally, he also included his trademark humor by quipping that he talked McElhenney out of his suggestion for a “two week cruise” for Rothwell.
In his decades-long acting career, the Merc-with-a-Mouth actor has never shied away from championing humanitarian causes, one that has won him several accolades.

In 2008, Ryan Reynolds ran the New York City Marathon to raise money for the Michael J. Fox Foundation and in honor of his father’s Parkinson’s disease diagnosis. Along with Blake Lively, he has donated over $500,000 for safe drinking water facilities. Moreover, he has also contributed over $1 million to support Feeding America and Food Banks Canada during the pandemic. As of now, he still stays active with his support for aid organizations around the world.
