Ryan Reynolds is someone who is more popular for his apt comic timing than his acting skills. There is a touch of the actor in almost all the films he does, which some people call the signature Reynolds move. Though he has done quite a lot of hit films in his career, he owes his major share of popularity to the Deadpool film series. As the third and highly anticipated part of the film remains under wraps, some previously unknown facts are emerging that are bound to fascinate you.

The 46-year-old actor has always wanted to star in and produce the Deadpool film ever since he read the comics. Reynolds, who is a huge fan of the iconic character Wade Wilson, wanted to star in the film and had an additional wish for it in 2009. In the year 2009, when the film was far away from production, Reynolds expressed the will that he wanted renowned director Quentin Tarantino to direct the film.

The 60-year-old director is one of the best directors of the generation, and he delivers hits almost every time. Talking to MTV fourteen years ago Reynolds said, “You think directors for a movie like this and you immediately picture [Quentin] Tarantino or somebody like that.” 

While Tarantino would have been a great choice for the film, Reynolds knew that he won’t agree to take over the projects. In fact, he knew that reason himself which he revealed in the interview.

The Academy Award-winning director is famous for his notable original work. His innate talent in building a world that captivated the audience is why Tarantino is one of the best and loved directors in the industry. So even though Reynolds wanted Tarantino to direct Deadpool, he knew the chances were slim to none. In the same interview given to MTV, the Canadian American actor said that Tarantino loves directing the content he builds himself and hence was sure that he won’t come on board with this given that it is based on comics. However, he did put him on the list of his “dream directors.”

The third part of the Deadpool series will release next year. The best part is, this time, Wolverine AKA Hugh Jackman is also going to be a part of the film. This time, Canadian film director Shawn Levy is all set to lead the direction team.
