Schwarzenegger had uplifted his status as a celebrated figure with his seven Mr. Olympia titles. Thus, he found the attention of the Kennedys and was invited in 1977 to the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Tennis Tournament. The event which was run for a cause of charity saw noted figures descend and even pick up rackets like Muhammad Ali himself. Along the lines of this event, Schwarzenegger dropped his polo shirt and stunned everyone with his physique, including his to-be-wife Maria Shriver.

In a gathering party before the match, the legend was introduced to Shriver by her mother, Eunice Kennedy Shriver. However, the Terminator star fumbled big time in that first meet. In reply to Eunice Shriver’s introduction of Maria Shriver as her daughter, Schwarzenegger replied to the former that her daughter had “a really nice a**”!

Still regretting his out-of-the-blue and awkward reply, the star highlighted in his Netflix documentary Arnold, that “I don’t know why I said it.” Nonetheless, the action icon still managed to impress Shriver, whom he later married.

However, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s marriage with Maria Shriver came to an end after 25 years due to “irreconcilable differences.”

After marrying Arnold Schwarzenegger in 1986, Maria Shriver decided to end their marriage in 2011. The reason for it was Schwarzenegger’s confession of fathering a child with a housekeeper, Patricia Baena. At the time of their separation, Schwarzenegger and Shriver had fathered four children, all of whom are now at successful heights in their lives. Regardless, Schwarzenegger’s honest confession, though resulted in the couple’s separation, brought on sincere regret from the star.

Notably, the duo still maintains amiable relations, and so do the star’s kids. The legend recently celebrated his 76th birthday at Maria Shriver’s residence. Additionally, his son with Baena, Joseph Baena, has gone on to resemble a striking image of his father as he takes on bodybuilding and replicating Schwarzenegger’s signature poses!
