In recent times, Hollywood has been going through one of its toughest times. Perhaps one of the biggest strikes in Hollywood, the SAG-AFTRA and Writer’s protest, has shaken the industry. In addition to the cancellation of multiple projects, several popular stars have also been involved in the protests. And recently, Deadpool star Morena Baccarin also joined the bandwagon of such Hollywood stars.

Ryan Reynolds‘ much-awaited Deadpool 3 is one of the few projects that the ongoing protest has hit. The filming of the popular cult classic was halted. Amidst the drama surrounding the film’s release, Ryan Reynolds‘ co-star recently hit the streets in solidarity.

Morena Baccarin is among the big names in support of the Writer’s protest. 

It has almost been over a hundred days since the SAG-AFTRA and Writer’s protest started in Hollywood. Recently, a massive number of Hollywood stars, including Morena Baccarin, came together for National Union Solidarity Day. The Deadpool star, who stars as Vanessa, joined the picket line alongside several hundred marchers in New York. Deadline reported that the protest spread two blocks on the streets of Manhattan outside the HBO and Amazon corporate. A picture of the actress surfaced online holding the banner with the slogan “On Strike.“

Alongside Morena Baccarin, a handful of Hollywood stars, including Jesse Eisenberg, Carla Gugino, and F. Murray Abraham, were a part of the protest. The demonstration also comprised union-themed karaoke and drum beats in solidarity with the union. Meanwhile, union teachers and shopkeepers also supported the actors and writers in their cause.

Baccarin previously announced that she would reprise her role as Vanessa, Wade Wilson’s girlfriend, in the upcoming Deadpool film. Originally, the movie’s third installment was set for a May 2024 release before the protests jeopardized its schedule. However, the release date has always been an ever-moving thing.

When will Deadpool 3 release?

Perhaps one of the biggest upcoming releases, the Ryan Reynolds starrer was initially scheduled for a September 2024 release. Following that, the studio further pushed its release date to 8 November 2024. Much to the delight of the fans, Marvel postponed the release date to June 2024. 

However, following the SAG-AFTRA protests, Marvel removed the film from its upcoming release schedule. Deadpool 3 is one of the biggest projects affected due to the ongoing protests in Hollywood. Following the latest delay, there is no fixed release date for the film as of late.
